What do cycling 100 miles and an evening with an “accidental poet” have in common? Both can raise money for great causes.
Participants who register for the Wrigley Field Road Tour are asked to raise a minimum of $400. Funds raised by participants benefit the global work of World Bicycle Relief and the local work of Chicago Cubs Charities.
Some of our customers take unique and thoughtful approaches to their fundraising. Such is the case of Tom Renaud and his wife, Ruth-Anne. The Renauds are hosting an in-home acoustical concert with singer-songwriter Edie Carey.
The Renauds are asking for a minimum donation of $67 or a preferred donation of $134 to attend the event. The significance of the dollar amount? $134 is the cost of one World Bicycle Relief bicycle, the cost to significantly changes one person’s life. Through this fundraising event, the Renauds are hoping to raise enough money to change fifty lives through WBR.
On display the evening of this event will be an actual WBR bicycle.
